Gracie the Schnoodle - Kansas City Dog Photography

Part Poodle + Part Schnauzer = The key to my heart! Oh my goodness, when I met Gracie, I just wanted to squeeze her forever! She looks so much like my Remington in the face with those Schnauzer features. My friend Kate adopted Gracie not long ago and what an angel she was to rescue her. Gracie had terrible bladder stones and a severe urinary tract infection. She is now doing much better thanks to Kate nursing her back to health. Kate is an amazing woman who also takes care of her beloved Max, who you may remember from a previous blog post. He has oral canine cancer and is such a trooper, undergoing various surgeries and cancer vaccinations and is holding strong. It is clear to me that Kate will do anything to ensure her precious fur babies are healthy and taken care of, no matter what the cost. I wish there were more amazing people like Kate in this world!

Who can't appreciate a little schnoodle booty?

And the classic tongue shots...

Gracie liked to perform a cute little "begging" trick for me. Could she be any cuter?

Adopt Me Please - Current Kansas City Adoptable Dogs at T.A.R.A.

I was honored to be able to photograph the many adoptable dogs at T.A.R.A. this weekend. While I am dedicated to certain organizations regularly, I will always try to open my heart and my time to various animal rescues who need my assistance with photographing their dogs. It means the world to me how much appreciation I am shown and gives me the courage and strength to keep giving these dogs a voice through my photography. I know together we can make a huge difference in the lives of these dogs. "Saving one dog won't change the world, but it will surely change the world for that one dog." Richard C. Call.

About T.A.R.A.
The Animal Rescue Alliance (T.A.R.A.) is an all volunteer group dedicated to helping homeless pets in the Greater Kansas City area. Their organization is the result of an alliance between several rescuers in the Kansas City region who share the same goal of ending animal suffering and homelessness.

It is the mission of The Animal Rescue Alliance to establish and maintain the ideals of Tara Nagel with regards to the treatment of homeless and unwanted animals. Tara was an angel on earth who lost her life in a terrible car accident on November 2005. Before leaving us, Tara had found her vocation in working with companion animals and was an angel to the pets that were lucky enough to be under her care. Tara was such a kind, caring and compassionate person, that we are sure she has moved onto something bigger and better. She must have been called to comfort the astonishing number of pets that die without a home. She is now our inspiration and motivation to continue helping pets in need.

The Beagle Bunch - Kansas City Dog Photography

Wow, today was definitely a first for me! I photographed 4 beagles in one setting. I have photographed 3 dogs at the same time before, but never 4! I was up for the challenge though. And how can you not love everything about the comical and loving beagle? Meet the delightful foursome: Homer, Alex, Snoopy and Buddy!
